We have three comfortable bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities:
In addition to the king-sized bed, this room also has a day bed - loaded with cushions to relax on - which can be made into a single bed for more versatile accommodation should you wish. This generously proportioned bedroom offers views overlooking the village and up the Moor Road to Ellerkin Scar.

This spacious room offers a king-sized bed and also has a Day Bed, to relax on after long (or short!) walks. The day bed makes into a full size single, so that it offers double, twin or triple accommodation in this room. Room 2 enjoys a southerly aspect and is a light and airy room with views over part of the village towards Addlebrough in the distance, and has its own en-suite shower room.

Room 3 is another large room which has a king-sized bed. The cool fresh colours offer a lovely peaceful and tranquil setting to relax in during your stay. From the window you can watch the sheep and cows grazing in the fields towards Whitfield, and the stream making its way from Thornsgill down past the house. Whilst sitting in bed, you also have a lovely view up Moor Road, towards Ellerkin Scar.

Relax in the comfort of your own separate lounge (pictured above centre) with soft leather suite, piano, colour TV, radio, video, games, books, tapes and local information.
Breakfast is served in our dining room using local produce wherever possible and our own home-made preserves.
To start, help yourself to fruit and cereal, followed by a varied cooked menu to choose from, one example being, of course, the 'Full English Breakfast' which includes sausage, bacon, tomato, baked beans, mushrooms, fried bread and an egg cooked in your preferred manner - fried, poached or scrambled. We also have on offer scrambled egg with smoked salmon on a warm croissant, maybe an omelette would be your choice with a variety of fillings or if you prefer something lighter, then scrambled eggs, or beans on toast, or even a good old fashioned bacon butty can be provided. All served with plenty of tea or coffee, and toast with home-made jams and marmalades if you can fit it in! I also have vegetarian sausage and 'bacon style rashers', so if you are vegetarian you don't have to miss out on the Full English.
(Special Note: The delicious sausages on our breakfast menu are from our local butcher - once you've tasted Gadge's sausages you will probably want to pay a visit to his shop in the nearby village of Bainbridge to buy some to take home with you!)
Packed lunches are available on request (£6 per person).
These will include sandwiches, fresh fruit, chocolate bar, crisps
and fruit juice.
Evening Snacks are available on request (£6 per person).
Should you require, we will happily provide you with a plate of sandwiches
with a variety of fillings, fresh fruit or cake and tea or coffee.

We will hold your reservation for seven days pending receipt of your written confirmation and £15 per person as deposit. The deposit is non refundable. Sorry - we do not accept credit/debit cards at the moment. We accept payment by cheque, payable to 'Wendy Turner' or 'Thornsgill House', sterling travellers' cheque, or cash.
